This little guy led to the finished tank. We bought a house got everything moved including my 2 tanks. After settling in we started throwing ideas around of putting a tank in a wall. But where? our house is an a frame with not many verticals walls that aren't already taken. Or was there? The downstairs was perfect. So we bought a used 120 gallon now front. (Big mistake by the way) which leaked. Then a used 110 which also ended up leaking. But I started putting up the wall after filling it not knowing it would leak and made it a month or so and came down stairs for something and noticed the Sheetrock was wet in a small area
so at 7:30 at night in the middle of a snow storm me and my cousin travelled to petsmart and bought a 75 gallon tank and spent all night swapping everything over then lucky me being that I work for a landscape company that has plow accounts had to go to work at 300 in the morning. Finished tank swap at 2:30. Off to work I went.
So from that little 50 gallon cube I emed up with this
which I more than happy with. Just had to frame it in and paint
So here it is. Still have to paint but it's coming along nice
The octo 150 internal meant for the 110. My wife surprised we with it one day. She later told me she did all kinds of research looking at different skimmers and after spending over 15 hours looking this is what she came up with. She had a paper with writing on both sides of pros and cons of different ones.
Meanwhile I was looking for one and almost bought a different one. She said she wanted to strangle me a few times because she wasn't sure if I was gonna come home with one or not
