I run 2 250W SE bulbs with Coralvue Dimmable Ballasts and Lumenbrite Reflectors (large) over my 150G. I currently run Radiums but want a bluer look. Any suggestions? Oh and I can not add actinics as their is no canopy.

Not familar with that ballast but I love my radium 20k. It is a SE bulb and has I believe one of the highest par available for a 20k bulb. Very bright and very crisp. Colors POP under these bulbs. HTH

BTW ... mine runs off of a HQI ballast and so it does make a difference if it's powered by either a magnetic or electronic ballast ... IMHO.

It does affect the Blue spectrum emitted from the bulbs as well as it does from any selected choice of SE or DE bulbs too!

i have the 250 radiums and am now running them on galaxy ballast. i just switched to the galaxy ballast and love them. my radiums look MUCH bluer now.
i was running pfo ballasts before which are electronic. but from my understanding using the magnetic ballasts is what gave me more blue from the radiums.

i run 2 150 watt xm 15k bulbs....the best color i have ver had!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im running 20k xm 250w. and are pretty darn blue. On a PFO magnetic ballast. My friend has the galaxy balasst and radiums 20k and its bluer than mine. GL I reaserched for months before getting a bulb. And thanks to the help form here came to a final choice. all depends on the ballast + bulb combo. IMO

i'm running 14k 250W SE Aquamaxx and it's a blueish white... very nice to the eye

Darren ,
I have the single ballast , mini wide lumenbrite pendant with a Reeflux 20 k running dimmed to make the bulb bluer . Can you not do that with a Radium to get a look pleasing to your eye ?
