Hello, I am setting up a tank and it has one-inch bulkheads everything come new glued so I am trying to use what Marineland sent that way I don't have to go DIY.

The Drain and Return bulkhead is a slip at the bottom so it doesn't have any threads.
I want to avoid any leads so how would anyone suggest I run a non-permanent connection to my sump? I pre-purchased unions so I want to put them in there somewhere and most places to make changes in the future easy
Many thanks for looking any suggestions and tips feedback etc.

Well, if you want to use the slip bulkheads you have, I would suggest glueing a short(ish) piece of PVC to the BH, then add your union, and go on from there. Just put the union on at a location accessible. You can other unions throughout as well.

Thanks, I don't know why I didn't think about that. Thanks for looking and replying. Sounds like a good idea!

The only other suggestion is to leave at least enough room before the union to be able to cut the pipe. I say this because if you ever have to remove the bulkhead, you'll have to cut the pipe in order to get the old BH out.
