Hi there

Ive got a tank on order from Miracles, and they have drilled the holes and its about to be assembled.

The holes in the back of the tank are 41mm, which I assumed should be sufficient (and I did ask around but didnt get a lot of answers) for a 40mm bulkhead.

I did manage to find this option:

But Im seeing a lot of bulkheads that are looking for a 43mm hole etc.

Feedback on whether the link should fit or not?
Thanks

Hmm looks like the link broke - here are the specs

Heres a quick guide....

Are you talking about the return holes or the drain holes?

If return then those are going to be standard for 3/4" bulkheads.

A standard 3/4" bulkhead from brs will suffice.

a standard 1" bulkhead will not fit in a 41mm hole, the minimum is 42.5mm and a 41mm is way too big for a 3/4" bulkhead (sch 80 might work.....).

with that said, the one you linked to says it's suitable for holes 40-43mm so it will work with the 41mm hole and if i read the specs right it's a 1.25" bulkhead.

Actually,
3/4 bulkheads call for 34mm to 52mm.
The photo i posted isnt the most accurate for min and max.

Op, rest assured your 41mm holes will fit a standard sch. 40 3/4 bulkhead.

By all means, feel free to use a 41mm hole with YOUR 3/4 bulkhead...........i'll refrain. the entire OD is only 52.6mm............i don't see 0.6mm being sufficient to remain 'water tight'

A 3/4" bulkhead has a 1.5" OD diameter behind the flange.
Thats only 3mm difference.
Looks like you have a 1/2" bulkhead there....

Lol now im a cowboy?

Im confused by your suggestion.
You say entire diameter is 52.6mm.
His hole is 41mm.
I dont understand your theory of the .6mm coverage unless he was trying to use it in a 52mm hole....
you said in an above post (i can quote you again if necessary) that a 3/4 bulkhead could use a 52mm hole...........52.6 minus 52 is 0.6. ?

Well at least the topic isnt straightforward, that gives me a little comfort.....

They are indeed return holes. Im on metric - as my sump is on metric and has a 40mm return (outside diameter - not sure what that is on the inside tbh - I think its 33mm), and 3 intakes (40mm/40mm/32mm).

I'll see what Miracles says - whether they think the bulkhead I linked/added the screenshot of will fit.

I would ideally like them to test with a 40mm bulkhead before shipping...because its a LONNGGGG shipment and I would hate to make a mistake this fundamental at this point.

Also its a 220 Gallon tank, the return pump is capable of 6500 l/h

The topic is simple. I think.

I pulled below from the AliExpress you linked to

Its ok. Im now having fun trying to figure out a way to reduce it to use loc-line.

Is loc line even necessary? Are there other options that people have used?
