Hi everyone,
Not long ago I got a used 75 gallon reef ready tank. It looks like the standard Aqueon overflow and has the same pipes and parts that the aqueon one seems to come with. The bulkhead for the return seems like it’s going to work fine with a 1”od vinyl tube connected to my pump. The intake however I can’t seem to figure out the size of. I’ve taken measurements and can’t seem to figure out what size hose/tube to run from that down to my sump. The inner dimension is 1.3 inches, or 34-35mm it’s hard to tell. The outer dimensions with the threads is 1.6.
I can’t seem to find anything with an outer diameter close to 1.3 to stick in there. I can’t measure the other end of the bulkhead because it’s in the overflow, and I’m afraid that if I undo it and take it off that I’ll mess something up and do damage.
I can’t even seem to find things on BRS that look like they’d match up. Maybe I’m looking in the wrong places? What should I be looking for?
I’d prefer a flexible hose so that it’s easy to get into the right area of the sump and I don’t have anything rigid attracted to the bottom of the tank to make it harder to move when the time comes.
