So I'm in the middle of plumbing and on the drain holes on my the acrylic plate I have it is made for 1.25" plumbing so I'm getting 1.25" bulkheads. Do I get the bulk heads where the PVC should screw into it on the top and the bottom ? Or slip? I'm coming down from the 2 drains then I go to a union, then I go to a gate valve and into the drain plate, but not sure if I want to remove those pipes what to do? Thank you~

I think what you want is thread x thread, effectively on the exterior you’ll have the thread or “screw” sticking out which you’ll secure with a nut to create a watertight seal with the bulkhead and gasket on the inside. The PVC should fit in the interior of the threaded part sticking out, PVC can’t “screw” into anything, you’ll be using PVC glue. Removing PVC from a bulkhead regularly isn’t something I’d think you should plan on.

I like to use slip/thread bulkheads for drains
Slip on the inside of the overflow box so it can be removed easily.
Threaded on the outside and use a pvc paste made for pvc pipe.
