Is there a standard size these holes are drilled from Manufacturer? confused at what size bulkheads to buy. I thought 1&1/2" and 3/4" then my son remeasured and said 2" and 1&1/2" now i am at a stand stil not wanting to buy 20 is bulk heads I don't need.

I would say use a 1” abs bulkhead for the 2 inch hole and 3/4” abs bulkhead for the 1.5 inch hole.

Might be best to try a LFS in your area to match up the bulkheads.
It can be confusing when measuring the hole.
Ex. 1.75" diameter hole in your tank, would likely require 1" ABS Bulkhead.
That is why I am saying go to LFS, you can just match it up.
I had same issue when one of the bulkheads broke on an aqueon tank and had to bring the old one in to match it up.
doesn’t seem to be any standard size across the industry.

would love to but closest LFS is an hour away... UGGH

I would remeasure the holes to be sure. Your son’s measurements look more appropriate for the application. This is what Bulk Reef Supply has for their bulkhead dimensions. The hole should be slightly larger than C and smaller than A

How can one recommend anything if you're not sure of the hole dims. In your original post You got one measurement and your son got another. Get a set of calipers and post ACTUAL dimensions. We can go from there. There are ABS bulkheads that are mostly crappy, PVC bulkheads that are better and Sch 80 PVC bulkheads that are strongest.

There are also some "custom" bulkheads that replace ABS bulkheads in some sizes with larger nominal diameter.

Let's start with confirming hole sizes and go from there.

BTW, if you can't properly measure you can order bunch of different bulkheads from Amazon and return what didn't fit (I just drop stuff and Kohls) but if you know actual size perhaps we can make better recommendations.

since it's a black trim tank with a corner overflow the manufacturers that it could be are probably seapora, aqueon, or marineland. All drill for a 1in bulkhead on the drain and a 3/4 bulkhead on the return.

Don't overthink this. Measure the hole and buy the appropriate bulkhead

You're probably spot on but without actual measurements its all speculation.
