Does anyone know a good solution to creating a 2 or 3x1.5" return bulkhead plate above the sump? I'm looking at some custom sumps with the bulkheads drilled, but most are 1" or not drilled, so I'm looking at a more permanent solution to hard plumb. I suppose I can just get a piece of pvc and drill two holes? Just figured someone has already done it?

Thanks!

I bought a strip of 3/8" glass that rests inside the top rim of my sump (an old oceanic 150). It's about 5" wide and I ground a bunch of holes into it for bulkheads to take the various drains from my overflow box.

Thanks. Any reason you didn't use acrylic? I'm just thinking glass might be harder to work with than acrylic.

I'm just not a big fan of acrylic - especially in those applications where the ends/edges are unconstrained. In this case I imagine acrylic would warp like crazy. Could use polycarbonate instead though. You are right though, grinding four holes in a small strip like that was WORK :D
