Bought a used tank from someone, they gave me the plumbing shown. Do I need a rubber gasket for each of these?

anything special or just get something from home depot or amazon?

also I need some type of return output diffuser , and it would need a threaded end , where could I buy this?

Hard to tell from the pic but it looks like there is rubber on the flange of each of those bulkheads. Could the gaskets be there already but compressed/stuck to the plastic?

On the return, you probably want to install loc-line. you can get the various fittingss from BRS. https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/search?w=loc+line

Wait are these things on it (which I just saw and pulled up alittle for the pic) gaskets? Or do I still need an o ring?

The pvc pipe on this fitting is labeled 3/4”. But it measured 1” inside the fitting,

what size NPT connector do I need?

You need 3/4" NPT to adapt that PVC to locline.

No additional o-rings are needed on your bulkheads.
Thanks so much.

one more question…

the overflow tube from my old tank is too small to fit on this barbed fitting. Any idea what type of adapter will work?

barb to barb adapters exist, the exact sizing is hard to do remotely like this and I wouldn't be able to suggest anything from the pics alone. barb fittings are tougher because how firm/soft the tube is will have an effect on how well it fits and leaks. Some tubing wont fit until you heat it up so it is more pliable/stretchy.

If the tubing is too small though then I would suggest you swap the entire tube out for a larger one that fits to prevent issues with reduced flow through a tube that is too small for the need/purpose.

well then i run into an issue adapting back to the fittings i have for the sump. its a 1" barb eblow to male threaded fitting.

the Tube i have now is 1" inside diameter. (i would think that is plenty for a 75 gallon tank) they dont even seem to make the fittings for 1-1/4" tubes

i just dont know how to get this 1" tube attached to the 1-1/4" barb.

any ideas?

get a 1 foot piece of 1-1/4 tubing and then this adapter?

1" might be enough, depends on your return pump/ flow plan, 1" can handle a flow of about 900 gph.

Tons of ways to skin this cat though. That adapter and section of hose would work.

McMaster-Carr is a better source for hard to find plumbing parts if you want more options though.
