I am in the process of setting up a sump in the basement and want to add a frag tank to the system also. I am almost finished setting up the sump and will be moving on to adding the frag tank. I have a 40 gallon breeder tank that I will be drilling. Shopping for bulkheads I realized that there are different ways to go as far as threaded or slip. Do you guys recommend double threaded, double slip, or 1 side thread and the other slip or what? Is 1" bulkhead pretty much standard or is 3/4" fine? Im running 3/4" from the pump in the sump to my DT, with 1" drain line back down to the tank.

Should I be going with 1" or would 3/4" be good?

Sorry but the calculator I use is on a different site. If R2R has one I have never seen it. How many gallons will your return pump be pushing?
Will you be using a durso, Bean, ect?

It depends on your flows. If you have the room I would install a 1" vs a 3/4" as it will give you more felexibility in the future if you decide to make changes.
