Bulls eye pistol shrimp

Will bulls eye pistol shrimp pair with gobies and what kind?
From what I've read in the one relevant scholarly article I can find on these guys and from what I've heard from most hobbyists/fish stores, these shrimp are considered free-living, meaning that they typically don't pair with gobies (or anything else). There are a few oddball cases that I've heard of where they paired with a goby, but I don't know how long those pairings lasted.

Either way, it probably won't pair with a goby, so I would suggest a different pistol shrimp species if you want a goby/shrimp pair.

Bullseyes aren't the pairing type of pistol.

If you want the pairing type look for Alpheus randalli and Alpheus bellulus. Every other commonly kept pistol shrimp doesn't pair/have evidence of pairing. Occasionally some rare individuals might pop up with gobies but for what's on the market, randal's a tiger pistols are you're main options.
