I'm having a bit of a vermetid issue in my reef. Not able to smash them all and they keep multiplying. Seen some reports of bumblebee snails doing work on them, but searching is a little inconclusive. Let me know of you experiences!

I have never seen any of my bumble bees anywhere near any of the vermetids before I kill the snails. They certainly haven't kept the population in check- manual removal/superglue has been the only effective stratedgy I've found in addition to a rigorous observation procedure to avoid introducing the buggers.

I put two dozen bumblebee snails in my tank and have never seen them showing any interest in the vermetids. Maybe they do at night or there's just plenty to eat. Vermetids continue to multiply.

I’ve herd vermited snails will not laugh at a green coris wrasse . But they are aggressive.

Im surprised bumblebee snails are sold as CUC members. They are carnivores and will go after all the good members of your tank. I heard of them eating even tridacna.

I have upwards of 50 of them and a yellow coris wrasse (65 gallon tank) and I still have thousands of vermitids- I see them on the vermitids- but I'm wondering just how many it takes to turn the tide of this battle. though if a fish dies in my tank- I never see it- they are completely gone by the next day. I "lost" a 10yo clown fish. he's not in the overflow or on the floor. Was seemingly healthy- I swear the mafia needs a large supply of bumblebees- there will be no body left...

Have you tried a copperband butterfly? I’m interested in the results.
