Everything is going great!
Started a Refugium 5 days ago using Fuji Mud, and some Old plugs and stuff from a lfs....lots of fans all over everything. (Love the different fans and tube worms in a dt) Adding some Chaeto tomorrow.
had a small diatom bloom but the snails tore most all of it up heh.
The only hair algae I've seen is just a little on a few of the snails shells.
Other than that, not much else to report.
Wish me luck! Take care folks =)

P.S. Skipped this weeks water change all together, is this why my Ca is through the roof?

This is all fiction without pictures. Post some here so we know what you have going on there. Although there may not be much if anything in there yet, it's a great way to track your progress.

Good luck moving forward.

See there, it does exist. Looks great. Doesn't sound like this is your first tank, but I'll say it anyway just in case. Slow and steady wins the race. Just go slowly as you start to put life in there.

Really nice job.

Thanx so much for the kind words! Actually, it is my first tank of any kind. Tho i've been plotting and scheming for the better part of my life to pull the trigger and do this =) It is a BLAST!
BTW: What do you think is pushing my Calcium so high?

Ok so I pulled the trigger on my first Anemone, Always wanted a Carpet with clowns. So I've been looking at my Wishlist at 3 or 4 sites I thought looked good, and after getting a CuC at saltwaterfish.com, (I was gonna buy the Amemone from there. But I was not at all impressed with their size definitions, My wife says "It HAS to be a Man giving them their size class's" heh....anyhow, I had called about 7 local/semi-local fish stores and none had any in stock...so I called a place that specialized in coral...(Which i've kinda been staying away from so I don't lose grip and buy coral as it's only been a month and a piece into the hobby)...The guy say's yeah I've got one the size of a basket that it's in about softball size....cuttin' this story short, it turned out to be the best call I could make...Fantastic store, Ungodly looking livestock, and the prices? I'll tell ya now, they are doin' it for the love of the Hobby!! This beautiful Carpet Anemone is the size of a godamn DINNER PLATE! and I don't think it's fully open either....30 Bucks! Yes.....THIRTY BUCKS. The price range at SWF.com was 70-245!
Soooo...I really feel the need to toot their horn...the joint is called" INCREDIBLE CORALS & ARTFULLY ACRYLIC " I spent about 2 hrs there, Chris was awesome, customer service was great, the store was Super Clean, the corals and livestock was just awesome!
I may seem a bit over excited, but I've been to well over 10 stores in the D.C. metro area, and not once gone "OMG I love this place" the moment I walked in the door.
Oh and did a full free test on my water params.....one guy in one store took my water in the back...came out 5mins later (Please correct me if i'm wrong, but no way did he test em' in a literal 5mins?) said my params were all perfect...that's just wrong to the customer, and the poor livestock.
Anyhow, here is a crappy pic of my new Baby lol (Getting a decent camera soon)
