Burning banana Stylo losing color

What the heck could cause my burning banana to start to fade, have it on a rock towards the bottom of the tank.. I can see polyps but it’s fading the yellow color..

Parameters seem fine, alk at 8,cal at 450,mag at 1350..nitrates at 3 and phosphates at .055

Should I move it up and hope for the best?

Nope, been stable for a while now even before I got this color a month ago

Nothing that I can think off, always dipped my corals, had going on 1 month ,this just started last night

It’s just my luck with corals,lps no problems,sps lots of troubles

Tank is 100 gallons 4x2x2 with 30 gallon sump, lights are 2 26 hydra and 1 prime had, my par for where this is placed is around 150. Tank has been running for about 1 1/2 yrs

Sounds like you have a great set up. Don’t feel bad. I think I wiped out half the barrier reef on my own I years ago.

That my friend made me laugh,and I needed that

I was running brs AB+ but switched in early April to brs schedule they did a video on hydra 26 spectrum, more blues and little whites during the day,than whites go off and running blues..schedule ramps up and down for 2hrs and is on for 12 hrs

Have you dosed bacteria to the tank recently? I had a chalice frag that turned that color years back after dosing fritz bacteria, I think I either did too much or flow was not enough.

Nope, I only dose alk and calc, I spot feed them benepets twice a week, water Change 10% weekly

Stylocoeniella are not demanding corals, so this is confusing. Get back to basics... recalibrate your refractometer, check your temp with something with mercury in it, make sure that your test kits are not expired, etc.

The burning banana seems to be a little finicky with placement I’ve lost 2 over the years. I couldn’t never get them happy they would get pale and light on me or dark but the one I have now growing seems to be pretty happy halfway in my tank
