My tanks been in a funk lately. I treated my tank with Chemiclean after a fight with cyano after water changes, increased flow, predators, and manual removal failed.

The treatment went fine. The problem was I added ROX carbon after to remove the drug and accidentally forgot about it in the sump. It’s been about 2.5 weeks. Now everything is bleaching or has burnt tips, presumably because I stripped the water. Everything looks terrible. Some of the corals look like they could RTN any minute.

I don’t want to make any rapid changes that might push things over the edge, but watching things deteriorate without taking action doesn’t seem like the right thing to do either. I removed the carbon (obviously), turned Skimmer offline, and dimmed lights. WC seems like it would strip the water more. Other than saying a little prayer, anything else I should do?

What are your parameters?
If you feel like you stripped it, check paramenters first, then feed a ton/add more bacteria, throw in a chunk of live rock from another tank etc. Sounds like you are doing the rest right but Ive used chemiclean and run rox carbon after, (and now it runs all the time) and its never bleached or burnt tips etc. Test water and then go from there.
