I just bought a feather duster because I have wanted one since I got my tank. It is a Hawaiian feather duster so it has a soft tube. I know some people have had luck without burying them but I have a lot of hermit crabs so I would feel more comfortable burying it. it is about 1 foot long (it is probably too long for my tank but it's crown is beautiful). I have a 29 gallon tank and I am having a HUGE problem burying it because of the way it's tube is bent. How did you guys bury yours and do you have any suggestions?

Thanks

I added more sand. or sand rock combo.
trench the sand set the tube in sand and rock. the sand will displace the weight of the rock by spreading it over a larger surface area.
