Butterfly fish in Reefs

Im getting the Butterfly itch again, what should I try next. Hmmmmmmmm

Here is my Copperband - he's been my guest for three years... doesn't bother anyone and plays well with my tangs.

LL

I heard Copper Band was not compatible with tangs, because tangs would think it was another of its kind. You are very lucky.
I would love to have one CB however, I have two big tangs -- sailfin and purple tang.

Man you are lucky, I had a Klein and he went to town on my corals. Had to take him back to the lfs.

Although he is very common, and often overlooked, he is the maintenance man in my reef. He literally wiped out every aptasia and manjano I had in there. Wouldn't trade him for anything.

I added a copperband the other day. For the first few days he was fine with coral but this morning it seems he has a new found taste for fluffy acans. I am happy that he wiped out the majority of my aptasia, but if he continues to nip my coral, or even worse eat them, then he's going to have to go haha.

Acan are always the first coral to get nipped, they must be tasty.

I had a kleins, and now a copperband for over 7 months now that eats mysis like a champ. He took out the rest of my aips and hasn't really touched any other coral. I see it constantly picking at the rocks. Come to think of it, I don't see the hundreds of feather dusters that I used to have on my rocks....:squigglemouth:

I miss my Muelleri, show me some butterflies please.

My CBB, I tried him with a yellow tang but it didn't work out. The yellow got more aggressive as time passed so I got rid of him. An easier choice than I thought it would be as the yellow was my first fish.

Beautifull fish but no more for me, mine picked at my corals and it was not pretty. Finally caught him and took him to the lfs. Whew.

Here is my newest baby

here is where he lives, he's kinda a pain but we still love him

Old thread but has some very nice butterfly pics. We should have post pics on again

Here's a pic of boys hanging out begging for food. They all eat like pigs! I haven't put any corals in the tank other then some sps frags I had in there for a while which they never touched.
