Anyone else out there have one of these little reef nuggets? I know they aren’t true scolys and seem more like an acan on steroids. I’ve read some accounts that detail them as being pretty agressive to other nearby corals but I have not witnessed this from my button scoly.

Thought we could start a thread for others to share their experience with these corals and show off pictures of their specimen.

Here is mine I got about 3-weeks ago from Aqua SD. Some of the croc island ones they have listed frequently are really awesome looking but $350 was too rich for my blood. I feed it mysis shrimp once a week. It puts out feeder tentacles at night but I haven’t seen any long sweepers yet.

Hi! :)

just got one from aquasd today and a croc... we'll see how this goes. I was at work so couldn't see them in the light. anyone know if buttons can touch croc island scolies or aussie scolies by chance?

I found one older thread, either here or reef central - cant remember which, that said buttons are not compatible with true scolys since they are a different species. However, thats the only place I’ve seen that so I wouldn’t say thats definitive.

I have mine in my sand bed about 2” from a small lobo and haven’t seen any signs of agression (sweepers/stings) on either coral.

Share some pics when you get a chance.
