Buy or avoid LFS coral with GHA?

There is Green Hair Algae on the rock of a nice finger coral in LFS that was on sale. My display tank Nitrate (4 ppm) and Phosphate (.49 ppm) parameters are pretty stable. Does scrubbing gha off while dipping fix or just leave it?

Algea growing on frag plugs help

I havealgea growing on my frags and wondering what type it is and how to combat it cheers

Chances are you might have GHA in your tank now and it may be under control. I have always had some grow in the frag section of my sump but not a spec in the DT. Maybe its CUC, tangs or just the difference in lighting. However, I am not an algae expert so maybe there are different strains.

If it were me: If it was a Zoa frag, I'd buy and dip in peroxide. If I had a CUC or tangs that ate green hair algae, I would buy it. If your not sure, maybe pass on it. The GHA that did grow in my frag area, I would pull in put in my DT so my tangs and fox face could eat it.

If your not sure if its GHA, and maybe its bryopsis, dinos or something else, I'd pass or be careful.
