I purchased a couple of MP40's from @Twins Dragonz on June 13th. I unfortunately didn't have everything needed to install in my tank immediately. I inspected everything as best as I could. I've never owned anything from ecotech as i always have used korelias.
I finally started up my tank & began cycling it. I had 1 of the mp40's running without any issues. I was ready today to plug in the 2nd mp40 & I was getting a green & red flashing light. I looked up how to troubleshoot on the ecotech website. I had to pry it apart. I have never taken these apart ever but saw it corroded on the magnet. The propeller won't turn. I have never scammed anyone in here or anywhere in my life. I have always worked out either as buyer or seller thru privately communication.
in this case, I didn’t get a chance to do so.

1) latinoheat started calling me out as “I got duped” cross the forums on those wetside selling posts as well as the he was post looking for a wet side.
2) out of blue sky I got a pm’ed calling me liar (picture attached) for a transaction 4 months ago

think a about it. If you want to work something out between parties, first use your common sense (The manner) Even though it isn’t in your favor. I could have worked things out with you in the first place if you came back after 4 months of receiving the item even it isn’t my responsibility anymore.
Those mp40Ws are older model, however the wetside were pretty new. One purchased couple weeks before I sold to latinoheat, which I have attached the receipt in my selling post, the other were back in August 19.
They both came off my tank in working conditions and I did ask Latinoheat to test them out after he received them. Everything was fine back then.

One member chimed in that he has the same experience with mp40. It was working in the tank but swelled up and cracked the plastic after a week in storage (picture attached).
What should I do to make it right even though it is not my responsibility anymore (4 months ago) nor my fault in the first place. Instead, you go around telling that you have being duped.

To be honest, I do believe for what latinoheat said and claimed. Why? Because I know vortech has issues with these wetside magnet rusty and crack the plastic. Many claims because these were dipped in vinegar over night, but reality is I dipped other pumps like korlinas, gyres for days with out any issue for years. Since the circulation about citric acid to clean vortech pumps without damaging its magnets and plastic, so I bought couple pounds just to clean this product line.
I do want to work things out with you to make you happy since you are new to this hobby and new to buying and selling on here. But you have given me no chance, I mean zero man. Instead bashing me around and calling me liar in private message.
you just have dug yourself a hole for your future to buy used stuffs on here. Who want to sell their stuffs to you and worry you would come back and claim it isn’t working as it should after a long period of time. 1 month is long enough to claim a faulty used product, let not talking 4 months long.
since you brought me out here so I want to offer $45 in refund to get a used one or at least 1/2 off to get a brand new one. You kept me up all night last night, but I do understand your frustration of things not working the way you wanted. Lucky I am on a travel trip so I can sleep thru Out today. Let me know whether you accept the offer or not.

I'm good with $40 man. The ecotech website says to clean with vinegar & they may need to change that. I'm reading of many people having issues with them.

You did come to me for accusing me of lying not to solve the issue as the first thing. Even the issue isn’t my fault for being sold after 4 months.
I just wanted to clear the air after you commented every posts that selling mp40 wet side that you are being duped and you even created a post looking for wet side after being duped by a member on here.
as a seller that sold you those mp40s I have my right to defend my dignity and respect. If I scammed you, yes you were right, I don’t need to show up in those threads. at least you are happy and we have solved the issue. You owe me a beer. I will collect that drink if I am ever passing by your area, only 2-3 hours away.
