Buyers Beware of Diving Dan!!

Do not purchase anything from @Diving Dan !! This guy. He lied to make a sale and now I have a product that does not work, and it is nearly impossible to get it updated... software of it is outdated. He told this product had less than 2 months of use.

I was super happy about that. He was selling it for $150 apparently he purchased it new for $400. Anyhow when I received the package, off the bat the packaging was aweful. All he did was wrap some paper around the original box and shipped it which damaged the outer box, potentially harming the product inside.

Next problem. One of the shafts has bloody rust on it. For less than two months use I would not expect rust on the shaft. This makes me furious. He did not mention or note that there was rust on the shaft.

Note the picture you can see the shaft has rust on it and this was when I actually tried cleaning with a paper towel but that shaft has some deep rusting.

In some of the connectors where the two tubings meet no clue the name of them. It is the clear part. There was a ton of hardened bicarbonate inside of the tubes which had been there for a while. I had to sit there and needle them out.

All in all. Not happy with diver dan. I was lied to. And now I am out a good chunk of money. I told him yesterday that if we could resolve this between us, I would keep this private but since yesterday he is MIA. Thankfully I used pay pal and maybe I can get my money but I have no clue how that works we will see. I already requested diver dan to refund and I would happily ship the doser back.

Alright update! Dan is horrible to communicate with, he messages and then stops. I have filed a resolution with him through paypal hoping we could resolve the issue ourselves, but dan went to his old tactics of ignoring and hoping ignoring me thinking I would just brush it off and move on. But I wasn’t going to let that happen.

I was forced to escalate this to a claim. So now the decision was left up to paypal what will happen with the refund. This is a much more lengthier process. In good ole dan fashion he took his sweet time to respond to the claim.

thankfully paypal sided with me and has allowed me to return the package as received, once it is done I will get my refund. I even took a video of everything in the box, and have proof of what is not included in case he trys to pull any funny games.

All in all, dan is a horrible person to make a deal with and I hope no one ever purchases anything from him. He lied about the product and now I have to pay extra in shipping just to get it about so I am only getting 80% of the money I spent.

NEVER MAKE A DEAL WITH DAN. Hope this helps some one.

You need to research a product B4 you purchase it! That rust has absolutely nothing to do with the operation of the unit! It is covered by the dosing head! I am assuming that you are very new to this hobby. Anytime a doser sits for a bit, it will get the hardened build up of calcium and alkalinity. As far as updating software, hello have you ever seen a WIFI doser that doesn't need occasional updated. Your only concern was rust on the little lever for the dosing head! Unreal also check my feedback I have never had anything having to be returned! It's not my fault that you have no clue how to go to the Kamoer site to update! It's very simple! Your loss as these are amazing dosers! People like you give this hobby a black eye! Your a rookie, my advise to you is ask questions until you learn a thing or two!

Mainly blasting because he did not mention the rust with only two months use. I would not expect rust on a basically brand new product. Sure it is cheap but that was a fault in the seller for not noting it. Also the rust was actually much worse compared to the picture this was after me taking a paper towel and trying to dry clean the rust but the damage has already started to eat away at the shaft which will affect the product in time, and how precise it is. If I were to try and pull the head off inside my stand I could potential pull some rust off the shaft and it could fall in the tank. We all know how devastating rust is too a tank.

Sir, at no time did I say that I was less than 2 months old! I you read the original post, what I said was that it had less than 2 months use! Focus!
