Does anybody have any idea where the best place to obtain a true gold torch is? I have seen many for sale in the sellers forum, as well as various sites such as aqua sd, cherry corals, wwc, divers den, etc. All seeming to range anywhere from $300-$600. What I'm wondering is, who sells the truest "gold torch". So many photos are taken under pure actinic lighting, or altered by photoshop, that it's hard to tell. I dont mind paying a bit of a premium, but I'd like something that is true to its photos! Please chime in with what you've gotten, where, and the quality. Thanks!

Honestly i have not seen gold torches that keep the true gold color under whites so I don't have one in my tank but if someone does then speak up. I do think some of the very high end holy grail types stay gold but I have not seen one in person just the few generic ones.

That's kindve what it seems like through the pictures I've seen on the forum, but I know theres always exceptions. Definitely something I'd like to check up on before dropping that much money haha.

Aussie gold would be your best bet for a white light gold torch
Yeah, it seems like the "24k aussie gold" torches are the closest. Any particular place/seller you've seen with high quality torches?

This was the one I had under 20k radiums

I got my Gold torch from a LFS. It is very similar under white or blue light. It just glows more under blues.

Under white only (I turned off all other colors on my Hydras) notice how green the hair algae is on the left, I'm working on getting rid of it):

And under mostly blues (again notice the hair algae and how dull it looks under blue lights):

Nice, it's rare that I've seen a gold torch under all whites, this offers some great perspective. Thanks!

Aussie are the nicest. I've killed a couple though and doubt I'll ever own another. A couple years ago I saw a holy grail at a swap but it's been since then so I'm not sure exactly how gold it was.
