I am new to anemones, my tank is finally mature enough to support one, and I learned my lesson with my first one which got killed by my MP10. I now use the foam protectors.
Anyway my first anemone was a bubble tip, but was a very large one and it seemed like it would always try to find shaded areas so not sure if it did not like my strong current or it was because I made the mistake of not lowering my radion light output for the initial period.
I now have my eye on a very small 2" rose bubble anemone that is being sold for 90 dollars at a LFS.
But I wanted to know is there an advantage of buying a small anemone vs a large one? does one have a better chance of surviving vs the other? my tank has no nitrates and no phosphates but my PH usually is around 8 (no higher) due to windows usually being closed...
