In the process of buying a aquarium controler. I have a 60 cube just looking for something to get my feet wet.

Looking in to the reefkeeper cause the price and I heard it was a good bang for your buck

Then started looking at apex Jr heard it can do more thing and more room upgrade. Also I heard you can buy and Wi-Fi adaptor and use it wirelessly

Just looking for some guidance

The classic Apex should see a decent price drop soon. Most people are looking to get rid of them because the Trident is coming out and only works on the new model.

Originally I hated that Apex seemed like my only option but I have to admit some of their add ons have been great. Their ATO is the best I’ve ever had.

Also, @Bulk Reef Supply is currently building three 60 gallon low maintence tanks. It might be worthwhile to see what they come up with.

Cool ya don't plan buying anything till the new year start I'll keep my eye out

Why not just wait for the new apex to go on sale again? I was skeptical at first but after playing around with one for a few weeks im really glad I went this route.

I had the classic and now I have the new the new is so much easier imo to program and you can download programs as well I got the new once I seen the trident being advertise only working on the new one I also had a reef keeper lite for 100$ it is,solid

Didn't know it went on sale......I figure the apex Jr would do everything I need but as I'm reading starting to change my mimd

Black friday and macna were the last 2 times it went on sale that I was aware of. I got mine from BRS on sale and saved another 100 bucks on top of that using my saved reward points.

Sorry to High jack your thread but If someone is getting a controller for first time and is buying used. What should one buy. Seen apex classic sales for around $ 320-350. Reefkeeper lite plus around $175-200. Any opinions?

I would buy a apex classic use for 300
