I went to a couple of local places that sell coral and notice 2 different things between - each, one store charges nearly 30% more for their frags on average over the other store. I noticed that for the store that charges more their frag discs are clean - spotless. The other store has coralline algae and some green spots on them. Perhaps, the frags are new in the other store resulting in having such pristine discs.

Anyhow, bottom line question - should I be concerned with purchasing from the store that has the 'dirtier' frag disc? Perhaps, not really an indicator of anything really but not sure, so reaching out here - I never actually considered this point until I went to the 2 stores and saw the difference. Whether it's worth the extra 30% not sure, but paying $100 on a frag, 30% makes a huge difference.

Cheers

The frags with the dirtier plugs for sure have been cut and healed the longest giving them a better chance to survive. Money talks - if it's cheaper I'd go with that dirty plug for sure
