Thank you! Will I have to mix the salt into the water, preheat the water and make sure the chemical balance e.c.t is right before adding water? I've heard if not it could kill the live rock creatures n things?

You don't need to heat the water. But I would mix it outside the tank in another container. Some people buy plastic garbage cans for this. Just mix the water until the salt mix is dissolved. Measure the salinity with your hydrometer until it's in the right range. When I used to mix my water I'd put an airstone in it and let it sit for several hours before I used it to increase the oxygen in the water. After that it's ready to go!
