buying my first reef roller - Bubble Magnus questions

Looking at the Bubble magnus large thats on sale now. . There is $50 difference for G2 vs G1...
whats the benefit of the G2 over the G1? my sump is huge so if its just the motor being bigger i will save the $50 and get the G1
they seem to use the same rolls.

The motor setup is it. I've ran (run) the G1, G1.5 and G2. G1.5 pictured below, difference between it and true g1 is the blue 'manual' advancement button, older g1's didn't have it

Edit: they use the same rolls.

Thanks. it looked like it was just he smaller motor on the g2 to me ... my sump area is 36x25 where it will go so i think i will save a few bucks and get the G1.

The G2 monitor is far sturdier and the roll replacement is far easier with the later model.

on the G1 can you just staple the new roll onto the end of the old roll and pull it thru
