I am looking to add to my rock flower collection. Anyone have any input good or bad for
1. saltwater fish haven
2. reeftopia
3. salt critters
4. tropicorium

Thanks. I was hoping to spend a little less. Pick up some B grade to beef up collection before getting a true designer piece.

What's your location? Why not try local shops or reefers?

+1 for vip

Orlando. Local shops seem to start at $50+. I was hoping to pick up a few more than 1 or 2. I have found several shops online that offer $35 or under.

You said
Local shops = 50$
Online = 35$ now add 50$ for the shipping.

Buying local = cheaper, supports your local economy.
Buying online = list price is usually cheaper sometimes more expensive but that shipping fee is killer.

Stores all get corals from the same oceans but they have different whole salers. Some stores have better whole salers than others. Some stores way overcharge for corals.

I live in California. The best place to buy rock flower anemones is VIPreefs which is located in Florida I believe.

I only buy from VIPreefs because they have the absolute best rock flower anemones. I only buy online if my local stores don't have what I can find online. Being from the bay area, my local fish stores have MOST of what I can find online except a few rarities.

Recently purchased a Red Rock Flower Anemone from Salt Critters. Not a designer piece by any means, but it colored up nicely and is very healthy.

Tropicorium is awesome been there several times. They have a awesome breeding program for them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Hope it helps.

+1 for ocean's direct. they had a nice selection last time i was in for good prices. next best one for rock flowers that i have found is treasure coast corals, if you are down that way. most shops carry them, but those two usually have a great selection cheaper then the prices you quoted.

imo, it's worth a couple extra bucks to see it in person before i buy. it's also nice to support local shops that will be there for you when you need it.
