Hi Everyone,

I'd like to share my reef system with you. It is a 120 gallon display with a 40 gallon sump and a 20 gallon frag tank. I will post pictures from time to time when I feel they are worth sharing. I'd love to hear your feedback if you think of ways I can improve my tank.

Filtration is pretty simple. I run a BK Mini 180 a refugium with chaeto and miracle mud and a UV light that isn't shown in the picture because I am changing the bulb.

Let me know what you think.

The lights for the main display are 2 AI SOL Whites. The frag tank lights would be a 27" Maxspect Razr 16K. Water parameters are pretty normal for the most part. My calcium is 450, DKH is 9 or 10. I dose by hand right now just because it's easier and because I'm just too lazy to set up the dosing pumps. PH is anywhere from 7.9 to 8.3 but to be honest I never even check that anymore because it never is really an issue, it's always in that range. Nitrate is always 0 the only issue really is phosphates which can sometimes be a little high due to the frequent and heavy feedings I do. Right now I just run about 2.5 cups of the regular BRS GFO in a bag. Hopefully soon I will be able to purchase a vertex reactor. Flow for the 120 is a MP40, a Tunze 6045 and a Tunze 6025 as well as the returns. Temperature can sometimes go pretty high during that day up to 82 degrees but I run fans and just turn on the air conditioner and that has worked now for a long time. I or my mom will do a 30-35 gallon water change every ten days.

just the few fish you have and the skimmer choice shows you have very expensive taste ;-)
Very clean and organized sump! Great job!

Has the candy basslet settled in?

The Candy Basslet is doing great, It's out a lot more and is much more brave, competing with other fish to grab food etc and hiding places! I'll update this thread soon! I just picked up a Mitratus Butterfly the size of a quarter about a week ago so I want it to settle in for a few more weeks then I'll update this thread again with pictures of it and more coral shots!
