C-Vue 40g

Decided to take the plunge and get the c-vue 40g. FOWLR for now but definitely corals later on.
Confused on what LED lights to get
It comes with the glass top that has removable sections. Can I put the LED light on top or remove a section and get a strip light? anyone familiar with the c-vue that has some input?
Also, any skimmers that would fit in the back?

My best advice, if you plan on doing coral down the road, is to go big on the lighting right away. If you think about it long term, you spend more money by buying cheap first. You buy your cheap lighting for say 50 to 100 bucks, then later down the road you'll spend 300 on your new lighting for a total investment of 350 to 400 instead of 300 off the bat. What are the dimensions of the tank?

the tank is 36" L x 18" W 14" H
what about the fluval sea marine & reef? would I be able to place it on top of the glass cover? or just remove one section?

really liking the Fluval SEA Marine & Reef 3.0 light. Any drawbacks from having the light so close to the water surface? is it better to have the lights hanging 10 inches or so above water line?
