C02 Scrubber 1/4" line question

I am about to install a CO2 scrubber and was thinking of using the Neptune 1/4" 24V solenoid vs buying a 120v 3/8" solenoid from the plumbing supply. I am concerned whether 1/'4 will be large enough? Considering only connecting to 1 of the 2 silencer holes rather than direct so it can still get straight are if its to restricted. I would rather connect direct without the silencer. Thoughts?

I connect mine with a 3/8 line to the silencer.
