Started a new tank this winter, wish I found this forum prior to starting for more ideas but any opinions or suggestions welcomed.

Day 0

Stand assembled and placed next to my current nano tank.

Trigger System platinum 34 arrived and the cleanest it will ever be for the rest of it's life.

The start of the plumbing, test fits with the typical white PVC then switching to the blue for the final cuts...hopefully no issues.

No 90 elbows for this project, but now to figure out the return as I need to cross over the emergency drain and keep as much area clear as possible for future equipment.

A few alterations and this should be the final layout unless something in the future requires a change

Not a fan of the white magnetic door latches so I found some black ones. I think they look much better.

Time to make some water, question is do I trust the plumbing or test with tap water first?

Gambled and luckily no issues....yet

Added some ammonia to get the cycle started, there is plenty of other items to work until thats complete.

Needed a method and spot to start mounting the controllers, designed and 3D printed some clips to work with metal rail brackets that came with the stand if you were to install the included shelf. This looks to be a much better use.

Migration of the controllers from nano tank to this build but still need to support the nano tank thus the umbilical cord of power and data.

Finally actually started the fleece roller needed to test it at some point.

A little break from the reef tank to clean the freshwater planted, I see some new controllers in its future as well.

3D printed clips are absolutely genius!! I picked up some t-nuts and L-brackets to fit in mine and can make them work but I would buy yours in a heartbeat.

I should be able to make most anything I’d just need to know the thickness of the panel

Carving caves in base rock for future fish homes

I may go with this layout, I wanted to create as many caves and home for fish without getting to close to the glass.

Towel represents the inside area of tank.

Blood...check.

Sweat...as soon as I’m trying to place these in tank.

Tears...let’s just hope it only comes when I break it down some day for a bigger tank.

First light arrived, third rock layout, I congratulate anybody who comes up with a design drops it in their tank as planned then never touches it.
