So decided to post up my 55, not much to look at now. Right now I am dealing with some algae and phosphate/nitrate issues. Everything is getting under control and next week my extra CUC will be here from reef cleaners.

Just picked up some frags from a local reefer and pretty excited to finally have coral after saying I was going to buy some for months and months. I have a reefbreeder over the tank now but am starting a build for a DIY lef next weekend when all my goodies come in.

Next weekend when I start my LED build I will be sure to post a step by step with tons of pictures for ya'll.

Well heres some crappy pics from my cell.

Oh and maybe some of ya'll will like this.

A couple weeks ago my dad and I went fishing here...we came across a couple dolphins that jumped by the boat and got our attention. When we looked their way we noticed one had been beached chasing red fish. We went over and picked the baby dolphin up and reunited it with it's mother(when we got out of the boat at least 50 nice size red fish scattered). After they splashed around and were together again for a minute the momma surfaced and just looked at us kinda just saying "Hey, thanks!" and then took off with her baby.

It was a pretty cool experience, here's a picture with the baby before we helped it back in the water.

Figured it was time for an update. Sorry for the crappy pics, all I have is my phone.

Here are some new additions to the tank.

I have also swapped out the tank for a new 55, I will grab some more pics when the lights come on.

Its always fun when your tank is naked and you start filling it with Coral!! Starts looking like a reef!!! Keep the Updates Coming!!

Nice rock work in the 55g. I use to have a 55g myself. Helping the dolphins out seems like it was a really great experience, especially to be able to interact with them personally. Very nice.

Acan after devouring some clam/shrimp/fish.

The acan has really been giving me some amazing colors since I began spot feeding.

I really wish I had a better camera than the one on my phone, but oh well. The phone just can't get the true beauty of the corals. :/

I think I can find some from the build. When I did it I completely forgot to take pictures along the way.

I'm doing another build this week and I will be sure to take lots of pics and do a build thread for it.

Saving the juvenile dolphin was a very cool experience. Once it and the mother you could hear them communicating with the clicks and what not. Right before they took off the mother came up to the surface and rolled on her side and just looked at us for a minute like she was saying thanks! Very very cool. Even though we scared off all the red fish when we pulled up it was worth it to save the dolphin and re-unite them.

I borrowed my sisters camera and took some pics. Still getting used to the camera and trying to get it set up right but here are some unedited pics.
