Ca and Mag high without dosing.

Set my tank up a few months ago. I used Reef crystals to initially cycle it because I had a couple boxes on hand. Since then I’ve been doing WC with Fritz. I started testing recently to get my Alk, Ca, and Mag nailed down and I just don’t see how the readings are so high. I’m using salfiert kits for all 3.

ALK this morning was 7.7
Ca was over 500 (added the entire syringe of fluid and it took another .1 ml before the color changed. Did the test twice to confirm.
Mag was over 1500 and again used the whole syringe.

I’ve never added anything dosing products to this tank. Any ideas?

It's probably the reef crystals, have you tested a fresh batch of the fritz to see what the levels are?

Haven’t tested the fritz. Just assumed it would be close to what they state. I’ll try next time I mix some up. I’ve done five 40 gal changes since setting it up so I’d be surprised if the Reef crystals was still having much of an effect.
