My advice— stop manually testing. If you can afford it, go to automation. Best thing I did was purchase a Neptune Trident. The comfort and knowledge of having 4 tests daily have allowed my tank to flourish. Look into it. You won’t regret it.

Planning to with the next build, just don’t think it’s worth it on a 40g.

That is the same product. Dosing of it would slowly raise calcium if one used both parts equally to maintain alkalinity.

General warning for folks: do not assume products are designed for 1:1 dosing unless they say so clearly. And even then they sometimes are designed incorrectly for 1:1 dosing.
