So I've had my Korallin C1502 Calcium Reactor up and going for about 6-7 months. Seems my effluent dKH continues to go down. I've changed out all the media and decided to start from scratch. I've re calibrated the pH probe inside the reactor. And I set my bubbles per min to. 10 bpm and my effluent drops per minute to 40gtts/min. This is the start setting for my reactor but this drops the pH inside my reactor to 6.39 which is to low. What do I need to do?

Read the setup instructions found at www.geosreef.com in the reactor section. It applies to any calcium reactor and is pretty detailed. Are you using a pH controller or just a pH meter? I found it almost impossible to control one efficiently without a controller myself.

I use the probe as a safety. I have a good regulator and I use a pinch valve for the effluent. The regulator is this one, Supreme CO2 Regulator | Green Leaf Aquariums. I've read those instructions and from what is says the pH is good as long as it's above 6. Jst don't want the media to turn to slug. I'll adjust the effluent dKH for the tank needs.

Good regulator but do you have a pH controller to switch the solenoid valve on the regulator on and off to control the pH in the reactor? I started with a Milwaukee SMS-122 which worked well for me but later switched over to the pH probe on my Reefkeeper Lite for pH control. You don't have to worry about pH getting too low or high with a controller, it turnes the Co2 bubble counter on and off according to your setpoint and span adjustment.
