If you will be using a carbon doser, you control that directly with the apex and don’t need an additional solenoid to shut off the CO2.

How does the apex shut off the carbon doser if its not a apex product? Do you just plug it into the apex power strip, tell apex which socket its plugged into, and it just cuts power to the carbondoser which closes the solenoid?
