Hey all! I'm trying to figure out a source for some cabinet doors. I've come across several online suppliers, with mainly Custom cabinet doors, wholesale cabinet doors, cabinet doors online as a possible source, however my design was calling for 32L x 30H doors. However most places online only sell doors to a width of 24". Granted yes I could split the size of the doors, but that now doubles my cost for doors! I'm building a stand for a 125g tank with the dimension of 73L x 26D x 42H. I will be running a sump tank so I want doors on the slides of my stand to allow for easy removal of the sump. So here's what I need.

2 or 4 doors on the front of the stand (30H x 32W or 2 30H x 16W)
2 doors on the sides of the stand, one may be a dummy door for symmetry (~30H x 18W)
2 narrow doors for the canopy (feeding access) (~32W x 12H)

So with the total of 6 doors I'm looking at about $350 with $100 in shipping. (Priced from barkerdoor.com)

Anyone have any better ideas? Yes DIY doors would be ideal and probably cheaper, but I have no clue on how to make some good looking doors, or even the tools to make them. I don't have a router or a table saw. I do have a chop saw and a circular saw. Those are about all I have for cutting stuff.

I got my doors from IKEA, they have them ready to go, different sizes and colors, and I was about half what I quoted on line. Worth checking it out if you have IKEA store close by.

I used a circular saw to cut plywood into the size I wanted. It didn't need to be perfect because I used trim to cover the edge.

Okay, there is one but it's an hour and a half away. I'm calling them now to ask them if they do have doors to buy and where to find them on their website.

That is what my original plan was, but I couldn't come up with a "pretty" way to do it. I even found trim I liked at the local hardware store too.

Lowes and HD both have very good DIY door suppliers. You can pick up a very detailed brochure showing styles, colors and finishes, types of wood for the unfinished variety and how to measure for the doors and hardware at the store and order online from home. They deliver to the store in a very short time. When I did mine HD used a place in Texas called Quality Doors but they have gone out of business. i checked on some new doors more recently and the selection was almost identical though and pricing is very good for the quality you get. You can even have them predrilled for European hinges and other hardware for basically pennies.

I built my stand and canopy then ordered doors to match the rest of the cabinets in the house and stained them to match. Turned out great.

I have looked at this site for custom doors in the past:

Cabinet Door World

I saw them too, but they cost more than barkerdoor.com

I haven't checked Lowes yet, as they are further than Home Depot, but Home Depot told me that they don't carry or have a cabinet door maker. Maybe I need to check with another Home Depot.

Also I see you are up in PHX, where as I'm down in Tucson. Practically neighbors!

I haven't priced the one you did, but I came across this one in my late night World Wide Web endeavors.
Amishcabinetdoors.com and thought their price was good.

Yeah I came across those guys too. However what I decided upon doing the doors myself. I got some inspiration on how to do it from another aquarium forum that I had posted too. however so have not had much time to get the skin on the stand yet and to make the doors yet.
