Hey all, Now that I am working from home for a little bit (Pandemic), I have some time to work on my tank (not during company time of course;))...but I am revamping my sump and I wanted to probably move some of the controllers and cords into a cabinet...making the space a little neater...I am currently working in a tight space and prefer to make it less cluttered, shall we say. Any ideas/photos of completed or in-progress works...Oh I wish Ikea was open for business right about now! (120g 48x24x24-Mixed Reef, /Fiji 36 Refugium Sump, Apex Controller, Kamorer F4 Doser2 Mp40s etc)

I would also keep dosers separate from controllers, modules, powerbars and cords... I don’t want a chance of leakage anywhere near my electronics.

Just to give you some ideas, HERE is my controller cabinet build.
Nice man....I saw one of those cabinets on ebay today....probably arrives next week if I purchase today, probably would spray paint it black to match my equipment

Thanks! :) They do sell black ones. also, just a note. When I built the plywood mounting board, I ended up having to remove the back panel of the cabinet to get the mounting board in there. Because of a lip in the front, it wouldn’t fit.

Well, they had black cabinets when I built mine over a year ago, I can only find them in white and dark expresso now. :(

Thank you...tips like this is what I need to know...lol

I am getting that one...beats me going outside and spray painting...

Nice! :) I have slightly more detailed views and descriptions of the cabinet build starting on post #17 of my build thread.

Do you have any pictures of the current cabinet and sump?

Here‘s a shot of the sump. I snapped the John Guest fitting off my DOS head the other day. Replacement head is on the way.

You could build some housing around the dosing pumps, make it all look a bit sleeker in there! You could use some wire housing to group all the lines together too and keep it dead tidy!

I thought about the wire housing thing, but keeping it separate makes it much easier when I have to unplug things for cleaning and maintenance. The wiring is controlled chaos! :D Will be changing things a bit though... going to be plumbing both a UV sterilizer and my chiller inline with my return pump to further get rid of clutter in the sump.

I just went back and looked at your entire build...bro, this is NICE!!!....Man I wish I had the wisdom to building from scratch, a stand like what you did...lol I think if I even STARTED, I might end up with something NOT even recognizable to myself...lol
