I’ve started putting together my first tank (Red Sea Max Nano G2) and various bits, which is mega exciting, however i’m getting triggered by how untidy all the cables look underneath (and to the side of my tank for the Red Sea ReefWave).

What’s everybody’s best practice for cable management? I want to make sure everything is as tidy as possible (I don’t think OCD will allow otherwise, ha!).

(I’ll most likely kick off a build thread once I’ve got the water and actually switch it all on)

Hey!

A couple of my go-to items…

Mesh cable wraps, and Velcro straps. Don’t use zip ties! Inevitably you’ll need to take a device out for maintenance or just to rearrange stuff and zip ties are way more hassle than Velcro wraps.

Have fun! :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Mesh cable wraps are a fantastic idea!… Off to do some more online shopping… :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Just an fyi, some devices can cause electrical interference with things like pH meters. Before finalizing and sealing up cable bundling, making sure that is not an issue may be worthwhile.
