Starting up a new tank. Will be transferring most of my corals and fish from my old tank. Packaging is very good. Tank and stand came in two separate crates. Tank weighed 500# and stand was about 400#. The rear ATO and included power control center are pretty unique. Glass is very clear and Cade uses “German Whacker” white silicone which is different from other tanks I’ve had. This tank is heavy. Took six guys to get it on the above average height stand.

I switched around the main and emergency drains to hopefully make it easier to add a filter roller and bypass the filter socks in the future.

Was worried that having lower weir meant water would drain out if the drain pipes were removed but it looks like the two weirs have a separate chamber that overflows into the drain area from the top. So water should never get lower than the top weir even with both drains removed. Smart design.

Welcome to the CADE family! Can't wait to see what you do with it! :)

Was a lot of work but finally transferred all the equipment and livestock. Please ignore the spider web of wires. Need one light in the middle and preordered the Red Sea Reefmat 1200 and I think that should do it.

Added a bubble magus large filter roller today. Hopefully it helps with my high nitrate and cloudy water.

Bubble Magus Filter roller has been running for about 12 hours and it finally is getting to the point where it might trigger the float switch to roll its first new fleece. At this rate the roll might last a very long time. (New roll is 164’ long). I will update as as it gets used up.

How high are your nitrates?
Nitrates are about 25ppm right now. I have a lot of fish in my tank. My emperor angel and blue tang are pretty large and eat a lot. I'm currently using Nopox to hopefully reduce nitrate level temporarily but my long term goal is that the new filter roller and new algae turf scrubber do a good job of maintaining lower levels of nitrate.

Sounds liek a great plan! I'm sure it has a bit to do with the swap too but it sounds like it should be adjusted in no time :)

I increased the power to the return pump and I can see the filter roller activating more often now. So if you like the rolls to last longer probably best to use low flow.

hey mate,

how's this tank going ?
Also with your pumps that you've got on the back wall, do you just have magnets sitting in the ATO reservoir to hold these in place ?

Everything still going well. Yup I just put the magnets in the reservoir. Hasn’t caused any issues so far.
