Cade Chaos Grimoire

I've wanted to do a live edge table with an epoxy river so bad. That's a huge project though and I've never actually used any epoxy. Have loads of experience with fiberglass resin but that's about it. Once upon a time my hubs and I lived totally off grid in some deep woods and we had access to amazing wood. Our cabin was in the middle of a cedar forest and we used many cedar trees to mill boards from. We used a chainsaw mill attachment. I still have so much cedar from that, but what that showed me was how easy we could aquire some interesting wood slabs for making a cool table. But then my first epoxy project would take gallons of epoxy, so that seemed scary. But with the countless hours of epoxy pouring videos I've watched I must be a professional by now, lol.
Side note, I really love the tumblers. People out there are making some really cool stuff with epoxy.
And second side note, that's really cool of you to make a memorial piece for somebody, that's really sweet, probably means a lot to them.

Yeah husband does woodworking as a hobby and we've been talking about collaborating

I've built probably a dozen of them. The type of resin you need for a specific table is directly a result of thickness and the flow you will need. They can be a Lot of work, but turn out pretty awesome.

I even did some epoxy flow cutting boards.

Look into stone coat countertops.

So, yesterday I mentioned I slept terribly or something and tweaked my neck/shoulder area a little. Last night I went to bend over to get Skeletor's water bowl to refill and absolutely froze in pain. I have no idea what happened but basically all I'd done so far was look down and start reaching. It's a little better this morning, I made Matt put spicy lotion on the neck/shoulder area and I took 2 aleve and tried very hard to pass out. I dreamt I was at the airport and got attacked by a water moccasin who I guess ninja jumped and bit me in the right arm up higher so I was holding it stiffly while awaiting treatment. Guess that's how the brain translated my right neck/shoulder pain during sleep.

Holy cow D. Hope you get some relief soon

At least I have a legit excuse to not help the team work freight when I get in to work in a few. I'm sure I'll overdo it and make it worse regardless.

Update: I survived. It's now not as bad as it was this morning. Lots of spicy lotion & tried very hard to take it easy at work today. Hopefully back to normal by tomorrow

glad to hear things have gotten better. Even if it’s just a little.

Hopefully fixed my roller, found a small trochus wedged in there who managed to get the roll all jammed up so it couldn't move & was creating a gap in the seal anyway so it didn't want to move. He's been removed, roll has been rearranged because it tore where it did try to move past him. We'll see if it works soon.

Some photos. Tank is super hazy due to engineer remodeling & nonfunctional roller situation.

Both pieces of fragilis are doing really well, healing over the break point. If I inspect at night they're all fluffy but not in the day.

Your stunner looks fantastic. If you end up needing to chop chop and have a decent chunk to come off, please let me know. I still need to replace mine. I could run over to the next town and grab a piece off of the 3-ft mother colony, but D. STUNNER would be more enjoyed.

For sure, I'll probably get to messing with that next week. It has already engulfed the gorg to the back and the one to the left. Luckily the back one doesn't seem to be getting the sting like the other.

I'll try to pull a big chunk for you.

That would be awesome. Mine used to go to War with the big sinularia. Talking 30 sweepers at least 5" long all at once. Sinularia would lean over ON the plate and end that crap quickly.

Yeah, they don't seem to really have a specific target now that they've mostly knocked out the one gorg. At night the sweepers are a swarming mass over top of it, just waiting for someone to intrude.
