Cade Chaos Grimoire

Also probably explains why the red gorg has never done quite as well as the yellow
It could be but I don’t buy into the whole flow thing myself.. after keeping Sps for many years in tanks before the big bad vortecs and gyres and stuff were around I never had a problem.. unless it was a complete dead spot and the corals couldn’t shed its slime coat.. my current tank there’s not much flow on the one end and everything is fine.. I’m too stubborn to put something on the viewing panel of my peninsula haha.. I will have to once my sticks grow up and really block the other end..

This one just seems to get gunky, and I baster blow it off, then it perks up for a few days then gets weird again.

I thought the file was contributing - to your point though.... the yellow gorg is by the powerhead that was jammed by a snail and did a complete turn around after the file left - so clearly the lack of flow wasn't upsetting that one.

Specifically with leathers, I've watched two little flow about kill them too many times.

Leathers, in my experience, want all the flow in the world. In fact, I think they'd prefer I mount them directly in my powerheads.

Hi. I love to put things into *terrible* locations to photograph.

Here's what I can kind of get photos of, so far everyone seems okay

This is fully consistent with my experiences as well. They will take MOAR flow, while happily opening every polyp than most of my acro will.

They also would love for me to absolutely scorch them with light if possible. Weirdos.

Putting in a request for more color enhanced pics... ;) :)

You're lucky if I even slide the slider in my photo app to clear out some of the camera blue these days. I have no idea where my lens clip even went. Let alone editing afterwards lol

Sounds like nero is getting replaced from the email I received, I need to call them in a few minutes with my case number to finalize it though :)

Yep, all set up. New one shipping to me, once I receive it I send the sketchy one back.

Fed all my new corals, every single lps opened up for me except one of the favia

I've never had luck with favia.
I tried one once back when I very first started, and if I remember correctly - it ate better at night. I don't remember why/how/when I lost it though.

I've got a basic green Favia that I got with one of my first coral orders when I started. It's receded a bunch a while ago but it held on. It's finally coming back and growing again. Growing new flesh over the receded parts. I've noticed that it's a night feeder too for the most part. It will throw out polyps in the day sometimes but every night they're out and ready for food.

I fed all my coral at night in my old system. Favia hated me then, they hate me still.
