Alright. Black Widows are a serious problem here. Yikes. Almost stuck my hand in a nest opening the gate yesterday morning.

Did some googling, apparently Mud Daubers are their only known predator?? So like... we still own the Oldsmar house until July 27th (so long as the potential buyers don't back out) - I think we need to drive back and pull some daubers. We had a ton there.

Found out my limp is from a pretty angry compressed nerve in my right foot, so I'm off on footrest this weekend. Ice every few hours, minimal running around like a crazy person carrying 35lb bags of food over my shoulder, etc....

Also got some rx antiinflammatories for a different issue, perfect timing since ibuprofen/aspirin/naproxen/etc did nothing to soothe the foot swelling.

If in 2 weeks the foot isn't getting better - cortisone shot

Anyway, tanks doing okay. B still loves the RPOR cavern I inadvertantly built him.

I'm really getting the itch to get more fish now that the dbags are all gone.... but I keep trying to remind myself that I don't want to catch them all when it's time to move again...

I mean…. If you really wanted to have fun with this…. Ask them exactly how they polish polycarbonate? Because you can’t polish it out! Haha.. you can melt it with a solvent to get a polished look but wet sanding and polishing doesn’t work… best they can do is sand it smooth… it will still show machining regardless

Yeah I just said okay thanks, haven't gotten a single update since the process began and your website said I would so I was just curious if it was even actually in process.

Love my lyretail anthias they fill the void in swimming column as my tangs are mostly low dwellers as is everything else besides the chromis and chalk bass.. I’m gonna get a Midas blenny next time I hit a lfs.. how big of a tank you going?

Around 180ish display. Give or take - still torn between buying a set or getting it built. But that's about what I'm looking at with the dimensions we're thinking either way.

No more tangs for me, I like too many of the smaller fish and they seemed to stress them out. They also seem to stress my marine betta. Since they were removed for the temp downsize, he's so much more active and out all the time.

Interesting.. fox face are pretty chill and give ya something bigger to look proportion in a tank that size if you don’t wanna do tangs.. bristle tooth tangs are pretty chill.. I have 7 tangs and they don’t bother one but each other here is there by flashing.. corals beauty is just that a beautiful fish mines super cool! Diamond bar goby if you don’t mind moving sand back every few days lol.. it’s totally worth it to me as he keeps my sand flawless in a 275 gallon tank it’s still super white! I just posted pics of the majority of my fish yesterday in my build..

Interesting.. fox face are pretty chill and give ya something bigger to look proportion in a tank that size if you don’t wanna do tangs.. bristle tooth tangs are pretty chill.. I have 7 tangs and they don’t bother one but each other here is there by flashing.. corals beauty is just that a beautiful fish mines super cool! Diamond bar goby if you don’t mind moving sand back every few days lol.. it’s totally worth it to me as he keeps my sand flawless in a 275 gallon tank it’s still super white! I had a tomini, chocolate (she got dumped pretty fast as she was super aggressive), scopas, and sailfin in the old tank. As mentioned, the one was aggressive and killed lots of things - the other 3 were great but just crazy and the smaller stuff and my marine betta all hid from them.

I may end up adding other larger wrasse - really like leopards and gold nuggets - etc.

I am very hesitant to add another sand goby - my engineer was a terrorist. He buried and killed a few of my favorite meats and I'm not interested in playing that game again. I know nothing else is quite so destructive as them but still...

MY diamond bar is good about if it’s on the sand lol.. I just lay a flat “shelf rock” on the sand then once my coral on top and he leaves it alone.. or digs a little hole under the rock haha!
