This is the true definition of crazy cat lady.Yesterday a woman called, told me she has an rx for revolution, do we sell it?
Me: No I'm so sorry we don't carry revolution, we do have advantage and frontline which are both over the counter
Her: Oh, how do I get an rx for those?
Me: Actually, you don't need one. They're not quite as good as revolution but they'll work in a pinch if you're unable to get the revolution rx filled in time.
She goes on a tangent about how her vet is off SR56.

Her: Do you know where Gaither High School is?
Me: Vaguely....
Her: Don't you work where I'm calling? Isn't this Tampa?
Me: Yes, but I lived in Pinellas county prior to moving to Hernando, I don't live near the store and I don't drive through Tampa regularly
In my head *why is this relevant? where is she going with this??*

Her: Oh man that's a drive, you must be really dedicated..... My friend lives near the high school.
Me: Oh, okay.
Her: Anyway, when I called the phone had a long menu and I hit the option for training, is that you?
Me: No, our trainer is gone for the day but I'm the store manager and should be able to assist with most training questions, or at least get your info to her for tomorrow when she's back in.
*finally, we're already nearly 10 min into this call....*

Her: Okay, so I got her after my second husband died and she fit in the palm of my hand and I guess I didn't train her well.
Me: Okay, what's going on with her?
Her: She got pregnant at 10 months because I didn't spay her in time or pay close enough attention to her.
Me:.......
Her: when we play she starts kicking and biting my hand and arm
Me: Ma'am... are we talking about a dog or a cat?
Her: Oh, I guess I never said... she's a cat, how do I train her to stop doing this? Can your trainer help?
Me: No. We only offer dog training, cat training simply isn't something we can do in store. However, this is something you should be able to redirect her from with time.
I proceed to give her tips about toys that she can replace her arm with and redirecting that attention to something the cats allowed to do that with.
Her: Oh you're very sweet. Can you tell me about urinary tract infections?
Me: That's more a question for the vets, they would do some testing then provide an antibiotic and usually the rx food as well.
Her: Oh she doesn't have one, I just don't want her to get one, she had one once.
Me: Okay, in that case, we have otc foods that work as more of a preventative and when you're in next someone can help you located some of those.
*we have to be close to done... it's been nearly 15 minutes*
Her: You should look up Pam Drake and Idaho....
Me: Okay... sure, yeah I'll do that.
Her: It's me, when I was 15. I'm 71 now.
Me: Okay.
Talks about her dad jumping off the roof into the pool, and feeding Idaho from her hand and taking naps with him. Does not tell me what Idaho is.
Her: Anyway, you've been extremely helpful, thank you. They thought I'd be a vegetable when I died and came back but here I am, Byee! *hangs up*

Anyway, turns out Idaho is an otter, so that's pretty cool.
I feel like I was the cashier standing next to you wondering what the heck you're still doing on the phone?! This was great. Old people. I'll be one of those someday, rambling to a stranger about who knows what.Yesterday a woman called, told me she has an rx for revolution, do we sell it?
