Cade Chaos Grimoire

Is your leopard's breathing rapid or is it hard and labored? Is she staying upright or laying on her side?
She did eat a little this morning, but that was an ordeal

think she could handle FW dip ? for poss gill flukes ? just a thought.

At work now, I'll send you a video of breathing from yesterday. Today was about the same. Coloration seems normal. Was like this straight out of the box, initially thought maybe temp or UPS slammed it down. Didn't change after temp acclimation or with time so far.

Okay, all the bad news? Leopard still same status. Someone nipped China's fin.

Good news:
  1. Leopard is still alive!
  2. Figured out somewhere to put a qt! Currently making water. Will pull from the Cade to fill qt and add new water to the cade.
  3. China gives zero concerns about the fin, swimming, eating, etc.
  4. CBB is out and about all over the tank! Chocolate is still more interested in the mirror than anything else.

What a stressful day . Matt gave me regular updates though so that was kind of him. He also helped me brainstorm placement for a small qt.

Thanks to everyone who helped with all my various concerns throughout the day as well! You know who you are.

China pics!
Here's the photo from yesterday, I was at work all day today and only got to see her out and about for about 20 minutes after I got home - And I was rushing to set up quarantine for the leopard - So no new photos.

Mirror seems to be working to keep the chocolate away. Hopefully It's enough of a distraction that when I end up taking it down he doesn't go back to the CBB.

Ate some mysis this morning.
Maybe cut back on mirror time vs all at once.

Good idea, I'm going to leave it up through tomorrow at least then taper off

Caught husband on tank check this afternoon through the camera. He was keeping an eye out for the china & making sure the cbb wasn't getting bullied by the chocolate.

Maybe tomorrow I'll teach him how to pipette feed the leopard so he can do that while I'm at work too.

Couple updates: China is the last one up yet again, Matt said he didn't see her until about 2pm yesterday. I noticed last night she was the first to bed as well, as the lights started dimming.

Chocolate & scopas are the only ones who care about the mirror today. CBB is exploring with confidence.

Updated on the help thread but I'm not sure the leopard is doing better, I think it's worse.

Came home early from work today, too much staff not enough customers, too much built up pto.

If you missed it on the help thread, leopard had something akin to a seizure this morning and passed.

China is out. Might be going into the quarantine tank now though

Matt noticed yesterday while I was at work that she looked like she had a torn or nipped fin, it wasn't like that when she got here. Now that I'm looking at her more closely, looks like a full abrasion on her side.

Photos anyway because she's cute. I'm hoping she's getting snagged on rock or something when going to sleep. I noticed the rock in the back that was 50% buried previously (because it has a weird curled up shelf part underneath) is poking up randomly because the engineer moved sand like crazy. This is the area I saw her disappear into last night.

You can kinda see it in that one ^
And this one

Took the mirror down a couple hours before lights out tonight, i'll see if I have to put it back up tomorrow morning or not. My tomini was swimming around with his spines out despite barely paying attention to it. I think the other fish behavior towards the mirror might have been stressing him out.

All of these fish are stressing me out today.

My next project is figuring out how to regain water clarity.

Water fog currently from engineer goby *constantly rearranging all of the sand* the last 2 weeks.

I keep thinking he'll settle down again and stop but so far no luck.

Skimmer has been picking out a lot more between that and bubble scrubbing the last few nights. Roller has been working overtime as well. But water still maintains a haze as soon as he starts up that seems to last most of the day.
