Cade Chaos Grimoire

I'm still not sure what to do with my stray clown female.

The other female doesn't bother her at all, but she seems so lonely since her male switched over. Every time I go up to the tank she comes straight to me. If I am in the tank from above she comes up to the surface at me and will swim straight into my hands. Very docile behavior for a clown. No biting involved

Get her a little friend. ;)

I'm worried if I get her a friend it'll abandon her for the others as well. Big lady has 2 boys over there now

That's strange.. Have they never heard of polyamory? There's plenty of love for all! She ain't gotta be hogging all the studs.

Little neck clams and black mussels will help a ton. Crack the shell, break a small piece of the shell away and drop in tank. May take cbb a bit, but the trick is to get hole in shell just larger than cbb mouth. This will allow it to eat and then others won’t be able to devour it before it eats.
Easy masstick ! I added a little garlic to it. Stuck a couple smudges of it in other areas of the tank where the other fish mainly are and then put a little plop of it on the track the CBB is swimming - I've seen at least two nips at it so far. (Still going to get stuff from Publix though)

Mirror back up this morning. Chocolate chasing the CBB again.

I'll be spending my upcoming days off trying to catch it without destroying the tank. Either sump timeout or flat out rehome. Haven't decided which, but this is my most territorial fish in general. Usually it gives in by now.

Matt just called me. Apparently the mirrors didn't work today. CBB is alive as of now, got the crap beat out of him then got caught in the power head :( he moved him for me but ugh

Oh no. Sorry to hear this!

Yeah, me too. Mostly frustrated that I'm at work and can literally do nothing about it until later this evening. Good thing I set up that qt...

So frustrating, it was starting to eat better and everything. I put masstick in this morning and it went straight to it. Was planning on hitting Publix on my way home from work.

Matt said every time he went by the tank the chocolate was chasing it despite the mirror being there.

Chocolate's getting too big for his britches, I think it's time for him to upgrade to a (not my) tank. Tomini is larger, but no aggression issues from him.

Dude me too.

Plan is to get rid of the chocolate And try again starting off in the ISO tank to make sure it's eating well first.

I'm considering pulling the engineer as well as possibly the tomini when I pull the chocolate. Tomini is fine now but I feel like with how angry it was during the chocolate mirror thing it's going to take the chocolates spot when adding new.

Realistically, I'm not going to be able to keep all four of them as they grow regardless. The scopas and sailfin are the two most docile.

I had to pull my grumpy old man powder brown tang when I introduced my tomini, wrasse and mini clown fish.
If you have another tank to put them in while new fish settles it may work. Everytime I re introduced him to tank its like they where all best friends after that.

Alright, official plan is to try and catch this brat of a chocolate.

Using up some store credits, a timor and a brunneus will be making their way to me next week (pending any cancellation from the vendors) and hanging out in qt to ensure they eat and are healthy, etc. And you know... that the chocolate tang is out of the display.....

I'm not comfortable playing the leopard game again with shipping. Maybe I'll try again in the future. Maybe not.

Once the chocolate is absolutely gone, and they're both in the display, I'll try a CBB again. It'll go in qt 100% alone for as long as it takes to ensure it eats all the things before adding it to the tank. I will also rehome any other tangs who start to get aggressive in the chocolates absence. I'm not going to play this ridiculous game again.

In other news: I didn't see the China at all yesterday, though Matt told me she was out and about while I was working. I worked a weird early shift today so I got to see her when I got home, she finally looks like the side abrasion is healing up.
