Cade Chaos Grimoire

While washing the sand two days after the tank break, I sifted it through screen first (to pull out glass) and ended up finding a tiny conch that I brought home with the 120 March of last year. I haven't seen it since. Totally Alive...
Crazy!

Heavily eyeballing a carnation for this tank....

Spent the day outside sweating and gardening, hopefully that gets the rest of the virus out of me.

Made some rosemary simple syrup. Fantastic.

I feel like the photos from this phone camera come through more pixelated, but I can adjust the color while I take it and don't have to rely on my clip on lense.

It's capturing the led rays. That's probably why it looks pixelated. You also have the factor of the sight reducing quality as well. Very good detail though.

Man me too, thanks. I made it through yesterday doing a lot of yard work with many many water breaks. I was absolutely wiped.

I treated myself with a coral order for the micro tank, just a little softy/zoa mystery box from cultivated reef. Get what I get, see what happens. I think that's scheduled for Wednesday. Did another full water change on that tank yesterday. Prodding all the closed corals from the vacation situation and they're still firm not mush breakdown, but none of them have opened back up yet. Snails are still alive and roaming. Since the mushroom died ( :crying-face: ) I pulled the rock it was on and switched it out for the other small barnacle cluster I had.

No major updates, tank doing okay. About to do some testing, switching to every other day instead of every day since there was so little movement (if any) daily. Last test, no movement on alk, small dose on calcium.

Matt and I discussed me getting my ish together to get the cube finished setting up. Hopefully we'll have a chance to make some progress on that this weekend. Need him to print me a mount for the uv, really the uv plumbing has been the hold up but we figured out a plan and I don't think it's necessary to pop it in this tank initially any longer.

I wish this phone didn't pick up the LED banding :loudly-crying-face:

These photos could be so good.

It's official. I need a real camera.

Are you running breeders?
Yep. Was thinking about setting up the ai on the cube and testing it, but I wasn't sure if the lack of water right now would change results on me.

The reef breeder is the Only one of the 4 types of LED I have, that does this to my phone.

I don't see it on the pico's lights - that tank has an aquaknight on it. I do see it a little (not as strongly) on the micro's lights - which are organized in a similar fashion to the breeders (but only blue & white). New different style cheapo light coming for the micro tomorrow so I'm curious if that'll change it presentation on it. Good news for the micros though, it's not as strong and while it shows on screen while taking the photo, it doesn't seem to present in the actual photos. Smaller area, might be why.

Wonder what it is about the breeders though that makes this so strong?

I've been seriously considering getting 2-3 "smaller" lights when we move for over this tank and selling the breeders. Not because of the camera issue, but because of the sheer size of the fixture (48"). But then another part of me doesn't want to spend the money when I have a perfectly functional light currently.

Aw, he's looking right at you like, "hello there, food?"

He's awesome looking! I'm out of space now to coincider one.
He's the one fish I wanted from the start, him & the dusky. Only keeping those two and the foxface of my bigger fish.

The more important dusky has been out and about. But still no signs of the fairy. I did come home to a chunk of my sand sifting star *on top* of my powerhead that weekend

No one else seems to be missing & he was looking a little thin before I left so I was trying to feed extra then.

Sad.
