Cade Chaos Grimoire

I bet your house smelled amazing.

I've got one of them and it works well. Doesn't last as long as the d cell packs, but is quiet and let's you know when the battery is almost drained.
dude, i had it plugged in charging and Matt turned the whole house power off to rearrange the box and make space for his new brewer to be on a better breaker. About 3 seconds after he cut the power it auto turned on. I had no idea it would do that, searched the house for what the heck was vibrating.

Also, I got new stuff to help me sleep and I ACTUALLY SLEPT the last 2 nights! Still have to get a bunch of bloodwork done to help rule out a million things so they can either say yes you have fibro or send me to a neurologist to see if it's early signs of MS . I have BOTH in my family so yayyyy.

But the amount of energy I had yesterday and I can already feel today is outstanding. Plus, I woke up about half as sore/achey/inflammed feeling as I usually do, so definite progress there. Wouldn't be surprised if I need to up my dosage but we'll see what bloodwork says and how a month on this does.

Thinking about trying to bait the trap before work. Maybe I can start moving my critters over this morning and this evening when I get home. The idea doesn't fill me with dread, so I'm thanking this new sleep thing for that.

I didn't know they did that. I'm going to have to check mine.

I did not catch any fish yesterday, my urchin died in the new tank out of nowhere and now I'm paranoid to move my others over. Seneye reads in the .02s of ammonia now, I think I'll run a nitrate test when I get home tonight and see where we're sitting there in comparison?

Urchin died, other acantho died (leather that fell apart in my hands was leaning against it so I'm sure that didn't help things).

The 2 white clowns look bugeyed? The other 2 are perfectly fine.

I'm stressed. I can't figure out what's wrong with this water. I can't win with either.

I'll do a w/c tomorrow but ugh. I wanted to move the others over but now I'm freaking out about this.

I'm honestly super close to just trying to sell it all off and giving up.

Move everything back until you figure out what is wrong with the new tank.

Newly purchased live rock leaching something you can't test for?

Trying to decide if it would be better to do a big water change out of that tank with water from the other tank. Or moving everyone back over. Or what. I did not buy any live rock for it, I moved live rock over from the other tank. All the other rock was dry rock. The only rock that looks horrible was the live rock that got moved over - almost everything that got moved into that tank has died. I am so fed up.

Oh no, what the heck??!! That's gotta be frustrating. Had anything survived the new tank, corals or fish/inverts? There's got to be something funky going on with the new tank.

The two older clowns are okay, the Royal gramma is okay (aside from her weird back problem that she already had because she's old). The two white clowns both are struggling. Both of them look like they have Popeye suddenly, and both of them are gasping at random. They'll be fine for a while and then start gasping.

The scolys are good, there is a blasto in there that is fine, the torch/hammers are grumpy, but alive. The acans are grumpy, but alive. The clam is fine. So far. There are also a few snails roaming around with no issues.

Well that's confusing as heck. If it were something bad in the water you'd think more or all would perish.

Possibly just too different of parameters and the weak failed? Are you using a new or different salt? I'm just stabbing at random things trying to be helpful

So sorry this is happening :(

Very glad you made it through the storm without incident tho ;)

It does sound like the leathers nuked your new tank during the move.

Running carbon like you're doing is best.

WC helps a lot as well.

I know its frustrating but don't give up, your tank will be looking as amazing as it once did before the transfer. I'm sorry for the losses :(

I know you've checked a lot of things so...

I'd do a large WC and keep running carbon.

It will eventually clear as your ontop of everything.

Ooh No! I have a feeling that the various leathers that melted away released a grip of terpenes into the water which is screwing everything else up. Lots of carbon. Big water changes. In your shoes, I would likely be moving back my better pieces, to the other tank which doesn't seem to have issue.

Homie hug from far. We're kind of in the same boat currently, just different causes.

My big bubble is looking worse and worse by the day. I've begun the merkey breakfast dip daily on it. I have hope but it's fading fast.

We will get through this. It's going to suck, until then, but that's ok.

I will replace carbon tomorrow as well to be on the safe side. Just in case what I currently have is dead already. Do you guys think I should make new water to do the water change? Or pull water from the established tank into this tank (putting the new water into the other tank) ?

Sorry to hear the bubble is headed further down hill

How B described is perfect ;)

Yesterday was an incredibly frustrating day, sleep work tanks etc.

Not feeling as exhausted today so hopefully my patience will be higher.

Mel guy is officially out of the running and tang guy got an earful yesterday. Messaged me 3x in 4hrs while I was at work because I wasn't responding to him -while I was at work- and I snapped when I saw it all.

This was my day yesterday:

Big silver is hvac. They pulled the drop ceilings *and the lights* out yesterday morning because there's a pipe about 30ft up leaking badly (it's filling one of those big trash cans every hour). We've been waiting for 2 weeks for something to get done. They came in and set up a diversion and the leak force destroyed the diversion within a day I get into work and the salon is trying to bathe dogs in the freaking dark. I immediately turned around and went to Lowes to get some craftsman led work lights to set up.

Still no eta on fixing the actual leak itself. Great.....
