Local person tells us : oh AAA just bundled our auto/home and we're saving a ton - look into them.

We go to AAA site, start entering in stuff, "based on the information you provided we cannot offer a quote"

So hubs is on the phone with them now.

Work gives discount w/ Farmers - I call them, Farmers pulled out of FL.

3rd party inspector headed out to the house tomorrow, builders said we can hire whomever we want to go out there and inspect at any point.

Alot of the big companies have or will be pulling out or reducing risk in Florida. Check to see if ASI will give you a good rate.
I can't get insurance on my house from a lot of standard companies because I have nob and tube wiring. Which is actually safer, but because there were so many abandoned houses that had critters chew up the wiring and cause fires it affected my ability to get insurance. 30k to rewire the house, I'll get the cheap ins and hope for the best.
ASI is Progresaives HO division based out of St. Petersburg. Should be able to quote online.
